Speeding up my Arma Wordpress Blog
Yesterday for my Arma Blog I installed a plug-in called WP-Cache that will generate static pages and cache them automatically. To quote the plug-in:It works by caching Worpress pages and storing them in a static file for serving future requests directly from the file rather than loading and compiling the whole PHP code and then building the page from the database.Currently google webmaster tools tells me that my average load time is 1,615 milliseconds, highest is 3,247 lowest is 514. These numbers are for the months of May, June and July.
I'll keep and eye on it for the next little while and see if it makes a difference, though visiting the blog it does feel like it loads faster. Could just be my imagination, so I'll wait for the numbers.
